Itinerary

Day 1: Overnight flight
Cozy up on your evening flight to Lisbon and make sure you rest those legs—Lisbon’s so hilly that even its hills have hills.
Day 2: Arrive in Lisbon + Welcome Dinner
Welcome to Lisbon, the City of Seven Hills. Rising up from the banks of the Tagus River, Portugal’s colorful capital blends old-world charm with chill coastal energy. It’s one of Europe’s sunniest cities (about 300 days a year), home to winding streets paved in stone, tile-covered buildings, iconic yellow trams, and enough pastries to fuel your whole trip.
In the evening, enjoy your Welcome Dinner! Hosted by your Tour Director, this kickoff dinner is all about getting to know the others in your group and easing into the rest of the trip ahead.
- Arrive at the airport to meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers as they arrive.
- Transfer to your hotel to check into your accommodation.
- Head out into the night for a Welcome Dinner with your group at an authentic local spot.

Travelers absolutely love the Lisbon City Experience, praising the perfect blend of guided activities and free time that allows them to explore this beautiful, historic city at their own pace. Many highlight the stunning architecture, delicious local treats like Pastel de Nata, and day trips to Sintra, Cascais, and Evora as memorable highlights, while Tour Directors (especially Joana and Tomás) receive enthusiastic praise for their knowledge, energy, and genuine passion for Portugal. Some travelers note that comfortable shoes are essential as Lisbon is hillier than expected with cobblestone streets, but overall visitors describe the trip as an ideal introduction to Portugal that leaves them eager to return.
