Marché des Enfants Rouges: Hit Paris’s oldest covered market for a choose-your-own-adventure lunch, with vendors serving everything from French classics to Moroccan, Japanese, and Mediterranean dishes.

Le Marais: Spend an afternoon getting happily lost among historic streets, independent boutiques, vintage shops, galleries, cafés, and some of the city’s best falafel.

Musée d’Orsay: Trade the Louvre’s Renaissance masterpieces for Impressionist icons inside a former railway station. Come for Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, and Degas; stay for the absolutely gorgeous building.

The Louvre: Wander the Louvre’s grand halls (plan ahead for tickets) and be sure to pay the Mona Lisa a visit. Or check out modern art and the insides of a clock tower at Musee d’Orsay—the collections are world-class and offer endless discovery.

Montmartre cafes: Spend the afternoon café-hopping in Montmartre—lounge with an espresso, try a tartelette, and watch the city go by as you soak in the atmosphere. Try to find a spot with a view; people-watching here is borderline addictive.

Canal Saint-Martin: See a more laid-back side of Paris along the tree-lined canal, where locals hang at waterside cafés, bars, and boutiques. Grab a snack and wander the banks at your own pace.

• Cross the “Chunnel” by Eurostar and arrive in London, ready to trade French cafés for British pubs.
• See Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament from Parliament Square, one of London’s most instantly recognizable views.
• Walk through St. James’s Park on the way to Buckingham Palace, keeping an eye out for the park’s famously photogenic resident pelicans.

British Museum: One of the greatest museums on earth and home to the Rosetta Stone, Parthenon sculptures, Egyptian mummies, and more. Oh, and it’s completely free. The perfect spot for art and history lovers.

Portobello Road Market: Pastel houses, vintage shops, antiques, food stalls, and everything charming. This is one of the most famous street markets in London you will probably recognize from the movie, “Notting Hill”. Pro tip: make sure you stop into the Notting Hill bookstore!

Tower of London: Feel like a royal in the historic castle and see the legendary Crown Jewels, used for British coronations and state occasions symbolizing the power of the monarch.

Covent Garden street performers: Wander the cobblestones, grab snacks from the market stalls, and watch acrobats, musicians, and magicians set the vibe.

South bank stroll: Walk along the Thames for views of Big Ben, the London Eye, and the skyline sparkling at night.

Camden Market: Food from every corner of the world + alternative fashion + canal views. What more can you ask for? It’s a chaotic, iconic must-do.

• Fly from London to Rome, check into your accommodations, and then meet up with your local guide and start exploring the Eternal City.
• Follow your local guide through Rome to learn about some of the most iconic imperial landmarks that have withstood the test of time, like the Colosseum, the largest ancient amphitheater ever built.
• See the sprawling Roman Forum, the ruins of ancient government buildings, temples, and basilicas that were once the heart of Roman public life, as you walk the area.
• Climb Capitoline Hill, one of Rome’s legendary seven hills and a symbol of ancient Roman power, now home to elegant palazzos designed by Michelangelo and sweeping views of the Forum below.

Capitoline Museum: Head up to Capitoline Hill where a group of art and archaeological museums are located overlooking the Forum. Many of these museums have amazing ancient sculptures and Renaissance art.

Villa Borghese: Rent a bike or rowboat in Villa Borghese, Rome’s largest and most scenic park. The greenery provides a refreshing break from the city’s heat, and the elevated viewpoints give you sweeping panoramas. Visit the Galleria Borghese if you’re craving more art (advanced reservations needed!).

Shopping along Via del Corso: If you’re in the mood to browse, stroll Via del Corso for major brands, leather goods, and classic Italian fashion. The side streets hold smaller boutiques for more unique finds. Even if you’re not buying, the window-shopping and street energy make for a fun afternoon.

Trastevere: Cross the Tiber to Trastevere for cobblestone charm and lively trattorias—this neighborhood delivers classic Roman food in an intimate setting and is ideal for an unforgettable first dinner. Order cacio e pepe or amatriciana, trust us.

Shopping on Via del Corso: Rome’s longest pedestrian street is ripe for some prime shopping, lined with over a mile of high-end boutiques and budget-friendly stores.

Sunset at Piazza del Popolo: Eperience one of Rome’s most famous squares at sunset is magical. For even more magic, climb the Pincio Terrace for panoramic views of the city.

Pantheon at night: Seeing the Pantheon after dark is a whole different experience. The square in front of it becomes much quieter and the building itself is beautifully illuminated.

Testaccio: Flip the switch and head to the anti-trendy neighborhood packed with those escaping the art-gazing, site-seeing scene. The rich history and authentic, mouth-watering food draw many to the circular streets lined with bars and nightclubs.
