Why go?

Not to sound sappy, but there’s something about Turkey that’s just…magical. Maybe it’s the energy of Istanbul, the landscapes of Cappadocia, or the waters of the Riviera. So yes, it’s one country on two continents, but really, it’s its own world and—whoops, there we go sounding sappy again.

What you'll get

  • All transportation while on the trip (Note: flights to/from your tour’s starting/ending cities are not included, but you can add them)
  • 11 nights in handpicked accommodations
  • Meals: 11 breakfasts, 1 lunch & 5 dinners
  • Guides: Expert Tour Director & 1 insider city tour with a local guide
  • 24/7 support from our travel gurus
  • Entrance to the Hagia Sophia
  • Traditional Turkish cooking class

Picture yourself

  • Exploring a 1,500-year-old mosque in Europe’s largest city
  • Cruising between continents on the Bosphorus Strait
  • Rising with the sun in a hot air balloon over Cappadocia
  • Perfecting your whirling dervish with traditional Sufi Muslims

Which trip type is right for you?

Essential: Room with 3+ other travelers in conveniently located hostels. For budget-conscious extroverts who love a group moment.

Plus: Room with just one other person in 3- or 4-star hotels. Perfect for people who value privacy and recharging in their own space.

Itinerary

Day 1: Overnight Flight

Cozy up in your airplane seat, study up on your sultans, and try to contain your pre-trip jitters enough to nap a little. The only thing sweeter than a big platter of freshly baked baklava is a 13-day trip to Turkey.

Day 2: Arrive in Istanbul

Welcome to Istanbul—a city that’s simultaneously in both Europe *and* Asia. That’s right: for nearly 2,500 years, Istanbul has straddled two continents, withstood multiple name changes, and blossomed into a beautiful melding of Turkish, Ottoman, Greek, Roman, Islamic, and Christian culture.

Today’s highlights
  • Land at the airport and meet a waiting EF representative.
  • Transfer to your hotel to check in and check out your room.

Was a great trip with Tour Director, Aynur! She was well educated on everything and truly made the trip for us! Yes, you do have two long bus days, but it is so worth it for what you’ll get to see! The riveria definitely made the trip!
