In Spain, they never end.

Itinerary

Day 1: Overnight flight
Get comfy, queue up your favorite playlist, and settle into your overnight flight to Madrid. Tomorrow brings your first look at the city, your first bites of tapas, and introductions to the people joining you for the next ten days. Siesta now, Spain will need your full attention later.
Day 2: Arrive in Madrid + afternoon walking tour + Welcome Dinner
¡Hola, Madrid! Meet up with your Tour Director and fellow travelers at the airport, head to your accommodations, and start getting acquainted with the neighborhood on a group walk. Your Tour Director will point out what’s worth visiting, what’s a skip, and which plaza has the best churros, ofc.
In the evening, join your Tour Director for an included Welcome Dinner. Meet the group properly, compare travel plans, and see who’s already volunteering to order for the table.
Retiro Park: Take a relaxed walk through leafy paths, find a bench, and get a little fresh air after your flight. If you’re feeling more energetic, head toward the boating lake and see what’s happening around the waterfront.
Barrio de las Letras: Explore Madrid’s literary neighborhood, where small streets, cafés, and tapas spots make an easy afternoon out. Stop for a bite and let your first Spanish lunch take its time.
Gran Vía: Walk along Madrid’s busy avenue for grand façades, shops, and theaters. Browse a few side streets, too; there’s plenty worth finding beyond the main drag.
Ask your Tour Director:
- Which tapas to try first and how ordering and sharing usually work.
- Their favorite place for churros and chocolate.
- How to get around Madrid during your free time and which neighborhoods suit your plans.
