    Day 1: Fly to Bangkok

Board your overnight flight, bound for Thailand! It’s a long haul, but will be well worth it. For now, sit back, relax, and practice some yoga. Try corpse pose, which, is essentially sleeping. You’ll be arriving at night the next day (yeah, time changes are crazy) so be ready to hit the hay and rest up for the coming adventures.

    Day 2: Arrive in Bangkok

Welcome to the City of Angels (and no, we don’t mean L.A.) You’re in Bangkok! Home to ancient temples, nonstop nightlife, and stunning architecture. Thailand’s capital city has it all and then some, including a dinosaur theme park in the middle of the city. Treat yourself to a Thai massage, explore the banks of the Chao Phraya River, and eat as much street food as humanly possible. Then wash it all down with a Thai iced tea (trust us).

    Today's Highlights:

    • Meet an EF representative at the airport.
    • Transfer to your accommodations and check in.
    • Receive the latest schedule from your Tour Director.
    • Meet the other travelers as they arrive.

    Day 3: Tour Bangkok

Bangkok is one of the world’s top travel destinations, and you’ll soon understand why. Explore the city with your Tour Director the way it was meant to be seen: by river. Today, you’ll visit some of the most important Buddhist Temples in Thailand, including the Grand Palace (humble brag much?). Pro tip: if you were thinking of going commando to beat the heat, don’t. In Bangkok, it’s illegal to leave the house without underwear. The more you know!

    Today's Highlights:

    • Get to know Bangkok on a guided sightseeing tour of the city.
    • Coast down the Chao Phraya River on a boat tour and get a better understanding of why Bangkok is referred to as the “Venice of the East (hint: it’s not because of gelato).
    • Visit the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, located on the grounds of the Grand Palace, and say hey to a very famous green figurine that many believe protects the Kingdom of Thailand.
    • Soak in some ancient history at the Temple of Dawn, a colorful sanctuary on the banks of the Chao Phraya that’s been around since the 17th century.

In the evening, it's time for our Welcome Mixer. Enjoy appetizers and drinks with your new friends and travelers. Afterwards, you’re free to take the party elsewhere!

Day 4: Explore the Damnoen Saduak Floating Markets

Travel outside of Bangkok to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Markets. It’s like a mall, but everything is floating and must be accessed by longboats. And you can find locally-crafted goods and fresh fruit. And the food vendors put your local food court to shame. Okay, so it’s not like a mall at all. It’s better.

    Today's Highlights:

    • Head to the world-famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Markets, located in a bustling village outside of the city.
    • Explore the maze of narrow canals by boat, and test your negotiation skills with the vendors.
    • Browse the small wooden boats that sell fresh produce, colorful flowers, and local food. It’s all about the noodles, people.
    • Shop around, and pick up some souvenirs for your friends and family back home (and one for yourself, too because #TreatYourself).

Day 5: Transfer to Koh Samui

Your time in Bangkok has come to an end. But never fear, you’re headed to Koh Samui. Picture this: you, a fruity drink, blue water, scenic snorkeling, white sand, and puppies. Okay, so we can’t guarantee the puppies, but everything else is true and waiting for you on the beautiful island of Koh Samui.

    Today's Highlights:

    • Board your flight in Bangkok and head south to Koh Samui. Set your clocks to island time!
    • Explore the island, and get to know your home for the next 3 nights.
    • Watch the sunset from one of Koh Samui’s pristine beaches. Yeah, this is the life.

Day 6: Free Day in Koh Samui + Optional Ang Thong Island Excursion

Enjoy a free day in Koh Samui or partake in an optional excursion that includes reefs, sandy beaches, lagoons, rock formations, caves, salt lakes…oh, you were convinced after lagoons? Great. If you choose to do your own thing, the island is your oyster. Grab a fruity drink and get exploring. Or beaching. Or whatever-ing. It’s your day.

    Today's Highlights:

    • Enjoy a free day exploring Koh Samui.
    • Visit a few of Koh Samui’s historic Buddhist Temples and shrines, and get in touch with your inner zen. We recommend the Big Buddha and Wat Plai Laem.
    • Kick back on some white sand and relax—don't forget the sunscreen!
    • Join the group on an optional excursion to Ang Thong Island.

    Free Time Suggestions:
Buddah-ful: Koh Sumai is home to many historic Buddhist Temples and shrines. Here are some of the must-sees:

    • The Big Buddha: a famous golden Buddha statue that is almost 40 feet tall located on northern coast of the island
    • Wat Plai Laem: a colorful and intricate Buddhist Temple that is still active. It is covered in ornate decorations and statues, and surrounded by fish filled lake. This temple is also located on the northern coast.
    • The Secret Buddha Garden: an unusual collection of statues put in place by an old Samui fruit farmer in the 1970s. Tucked away in the high hills of Koh Samui’s lush jungle, it’s an enchanting site to behold.

    Ang Thong Island(extra cost)

Zoom over to Ang Thong National Marine Park on a speedboat and get ready to hit the beach, snorkel the colorful reefs with exotic fish, and kayak around the islands. Keep an eye out for hidden coves and waterfalls!

Why wait? Save money by booking this optional excursion before your trip departs.

Day 7: Enjoy a Free Day in Koh Samui

Enjoy a free day exploring beautiful Koh Samui. And yes, laying on the beach counts as exploring (no shame in being a beach bum when the setting is this incredible). But Koh Samui isn’t just a pretty face—this island is home to beautiful monuments and historic villages that are begging to be explored.

And a bucket o’ rum: Koh Samui has some of the best nightlife in Thailand. Think beach bars, rum buckets, and cold beer. Chaweng, Lamai and Bophut are all beaches known for their exciting nightlife. 10/10 would recommend.
Go fish: Explore Bophut’s Fisherman’s Village. This old part of Bophut Beach used to be a fishing community, and is now a charming village full of boutiques and beach front restaurants.

Day 8: Transfer to Koh Pha Ngan

Say “hey sister from another mister” because you’re traveling from Koh Samui to its sister island, Koh Pha Ngan. When it comes to sandy beaches and tropical rainforests, it won’t disappoint. Oh, and it’s where you’ll stay up all night celebrating the full moon. Epic.

    Today's Highlights:

    • Wave goodbye to Koh Samui from a ferry as you head to your next destination.
    • Arrive in Koh Pha Ngan, the birthplace of the Full Moon Party.
    • The evening is yours to explore: walk along some of the island’s scenic beaches, visit a yoga studio, or grab drinks at a local bar.
    • Get some sleep so you can be well-rested for the insanity that awaits you tomorrow. When it’s time to party, Thailand cranks it up to a bajillion trillion. (That’s a real number, okay?)

    Day 9: Full Moon Party

Prepare to dance the night away at Thailand’s Full Moon Party. Quick history lesson: The first Full Moon party took place on crescent-shaped beach in Haad Rin by a group of travelers who discovered that the moon was most beautiful above Koh Pha Ngan. What was originally a small gathering held to celebrate the full moon has turned into a world-famous monthly event that the word “wild” doesn’t even begin to describe. Don’t forget to grab some neon clothes and body paint (the unofficial Full Moon Party uniform) from a street vendor.

    Today's Highlights:

    • Dress in neon, and head to the beach. The good times get started when the full moon appears over the beach and don’t stop till dawn. Yeah, Thailand knows how to party.
    • Bust out some signature moves as the various DJs take their turn keeping the celebration going. Reggae, techno, trance, drum and bass—no matter your taste in music, you’ll find it here.
    • Enjoy performances by jugglers and fire-eaters (don’t try this at home).
    • Take a break from dancing to grab some food from a restaurant near the beach, then get back out there!
    • Party till the sun comes up…and maybe a little more after that.

Day 10: Enjoy a Free Day in Koh Pha Ngan

Recover from the Full Moon Party with a free day in Koh Pha Ngan to relax or explore (or do a little of both).

    Today's Highlights:

    • Use your free day to visit one of the many waterfalls.
    • Grab some friends and spend your day hitting up the best bars.
    • Fill up on authentic street food and check out the local markets.

    Free Time Suggestions:
Just Beachy: It’s pretty much impossible to get tired of Thailand’s incredible beaches. Swim with the fishes as you snorkel along a coral reef off Mae Haad Beach.
Fallin' for you: Sweat it out and hike to one (or all) of the seven waterfalls on the island. They’re all magnificent, but Phaeng Waterfall is at the top of our list. Once you see it, you’ll understand why.
Goodnight, market: Explore the Thong Sala Night Market. Wander the various food stalls in the evening and try out some local favorites at low prices. This place is a favorite street food spot, so come hungry.
When the sun goes down: Get the best seat in the house for tonight’s sunset at the Amsterdam Bar, a balcony situated on the side of a mountain with jaw-dropping views and refreshing drinks.

    Day 11: Transfer to Bangkok

We’re taking you back to the beginning, where this whole adventure began: Bangkok. Sort of poetic, isn’t it?

    Today's Highlights:

    • Shake off any remaining sand, and blow one last kiss to Koh Pha Ngan.
    • Arrive in Bangkok, and make the most of your last day in paradise (AKA Thailand).
    • Go out in style—Enjoy an included group dinner and moonlight river cruise.

    Farewell Dinner
Share some last laughs (and maybe shed a few tears) at an included farewell dinner with the group.

    Day 12: Fly Home

    Goodbye, friends!
Your next destination awaits—home. Before you head to the airport, enjoy your last few moments together. Take one more group photo. Grab that final drink. (Fine, maybe a couple of drinks.) But this isn’t goodbye. It’s “See you later.” The only question is, where?
