Camp Ultimate: Summer in Switzerland
Adult summer camp? In Switzerland? Your inner 13-year-old needs this. Your grown-up self REALLY needs this. We swapped bug juice for Swiss wine, sleeping bags for Alpine chalets, and rude bugle wakeups for slow spa mornings. Campfires, s’mores, lake swimming, mountain ziplining—all the nature and nostalgia, minus the whole awkward phase. You probably won’t find your long-lost twin, but you’ll definitely connect with new lifelong friends (and the kid you used to be).

Itinerary

Day 1: Overnight flight
Hop on your overnight flight to Switzerland and try to get as sleep as much as possible (easier said than done when you’re on a plane and buzzing with excitement for the trip ahead—don’t you feel 13 again?!).
Day 2: Camp check-in + Welcome Dinner in Lausanne
Sitting on the northern shore of the largest lake in Western Europe, Lake Geneva, Lausanne has views of the water and surrounding mountains that’ll put your childhood summer camp to shame (sorry, Camp Firewood). Look across the lake and you’ll see France, because fun fact, the border between Switzerland and France actually runs right down the middle of Lake Geneva. You’ll have some free time in the afternoon to explore the city and hang out on the shore.
In the evening, enjoy your Welcome Dinner! Hosted by your Tour Director, this kickoff dinner is all about breaking the ice, bonding with your fellow campers, and getting excited about officially kicking off the trip.
- Arrive at the airport to meet your fellow travelers and your Tour Director.
- Transfer to your accommodations and check in to your bunks. You’ll have twin rooms with an ensuite bathroom, very Annie and Hallie in the Serendipity cabin.
- Head out into the summer evening for the first group dinner of your trip.
