Spain’s got rhythm. You’ll feel it over 10 pm tapas in Madrid’s buzzing squares. You’ll hear it when flamenco spills into Seville’s streets. You’ll sense it in Granada, where Moorish and Spanish traditions move in unison. And you’ll see it in Barcelona, where anything-but-straight-line architecture inspires an entire culture. Itinerary

Day 1: Overnight flight
Get some sleep on your overnight flight to Madrid, because Spain is a country that does not believe in early nights. Dinner at 10 pm? Normal. Plazas packed at midnight? Always. Tapas until you lose track of time? Of course. Rest up now, because starting tomorrow you’ll be touring Game of Thrones filming locations, marveling at Gaudí’s trippiest creations, and snacking your way through mercados like a local.
Day 2: Arrive in Madrid + Welcome Dinner
Welcome to Madrid, the second-largest city in the European Union (Berlin, fyi) and the capital of Spain since the 1500s. This is a city that does “casual” at museum levels of grandeur. Think elegant boulevards, palaces out of your wildest dreams, and tapas bars tucked into every corner. Madrid is a city with a rich royal history and, for the next few days, the throne (and jamón) is yours.
In the evening, enjoy your Welcome Dinner! Hosted by your Tour Director, this kickoff dinner is all about meeting your fellow travelers, swapping stories, and easing into the rest of the trip ahead.
- Arrive at the airport and meet up with your Tour Director and fellow travelers before heading to your accommodations.
- Settle in before meeting the group for a walking tour of your neighborhood, led by your Tour Director. Visit a couple iconic plazas, maybe grab a snack, and get a first look at Madrid and feel for its energy.
- Head out for a Welcome Dinner with your group at an authentic local spot.
