Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to South Korea

It’s a big travel day, so wear your comfiest airport clothes, load up some playlists (K-pop, of course), and settle in. You’re crossing the Pacific to one of the coolest, most dynamic countries in the world.

Day 2: Arrive in Seoul

Touch down in Seoul, where you’ll quickly see why it’s one of Asia’s most exciting cities. Expect energy everywhere—street vendors selling sizzling snacks, flashing neon signs, massive shopping districts, and some of the friendliest locals you’ll ever meet. Perfect first mission after checking in? Hit a 24-hour convenience store and try a triangle kimbap or some Korean banana milk (trust us).

Today’s highlights
  • Arrive at the airport—your Tour Director will be waiting to help you check in to your accommodations and navigate the city.
  • Settle into your hotel and maybe explore your neighborhood a bit. You’ll be staying in Insadong, a lively neighborhood built around its pedestrianized main street where you’ll find teahouses, Korean eateries, and shops selling traditional goods like pottery, tea, and handmade hanji paper.
  • Get your first real taste of Seoul’s nonstop vibe. Regardless of your arrival time, you’ll find it bustling.
Free time suggestions

Ask your Tour Director:

  • When to visit Ikseon-dong Alleyways: Walking distance from your hotel, wander tiny, art-filled alleys lined with hidden cafés, boutique shops, and hanok-style houses.
  • Where to try the best Korean dumplings, called mandu. They can be steamed, boiled, fried and served as a snack, main dish and even in soup. With a diverse range of fillings, there’s sure to be something for everyone to try and enjoy.
  • About their favorite Noraebang or “sing room” and how to book a private space for a nighttime adventure steeped in this fun, musical local pastime.
  • When to visit Itaewon: Trendy shops, fusion eats, and endless nightlife await. This is Seoul’s most diverse and LGBTQ+ friendly district—feel free to stay late.
  • How to pamper yourself, Korean style.

It was a beautiful trip with great sites and experiences, but we had little to no free time. Our tour director Johnny was great and tried to give us free time as much as possible while still trying to abide to the schedule, but EF didn’t really give him or us a chance to have...

1st-time traveler Liz, traveled in Oct 2025

Went on this tour in October 2025 and had a spectacular time. On top of providing great recommendations for free time activities, Johnny was great at accommodating our separately booked activities, providing instructions on how to get around Seoul and Busan via public transit...

3rd-time traveler Anonymous, traveled in Oct 2025

I had a really great time on this trip. It was our TD’s first tour and he really tried his best in corralling us and getting us on time. A couple things that could use improvement is more free time. I would have really liked a free day or at least half a day to get some personal...

Fun in Korea

2nd-time traveler Anonymous, traveled in Sep 2025

This trip was super fun. I wish it was longer so that we could spend more time in the different cities we went to or add more places to go to. There’s plenty to see and do. Our tour guide Yoon was phenomenal! Such a great guy, wiling and eager to help us with any solo...
